My installation of Windows 10 was unable to pair the Wireless Gamepad to the included USB Receiver despite it being recognized correctly in the Windows 10 Devices list and Device Manager tool. Thanks! This ended up being the solution for me to get the controller working on non-Windows platforms. So, did you even try pairing your controller in Windows before connecting the USB dongle to the Steam Link? Once you have done that, you can just plug the receiver on your Linux box and KB/M will be already paired and working fine. My Debian box doesn't come with native support for pairing those devices so the rule of thumb has always been to connect them on Windows and pair them. I have some Logitech wireless keyboards and mouses, using the Unifying Receiver. Originally posted by roughnecks:It may sound stupid but. In the mean time, I'm open to any more ideas or sugestions. Not that that's really any indication of whether or not it's the case.ī) The only solution I can think of is for me to find someone with a PC on which I can pair the dongle and the F710 controller. It's quite possible that this is the source of my problems and that the F710 needs to be paired with the dongle prior to it being used with Steam Link.Ī) It's not mentioned anywhere in the Steam Link support information / FAQs / discussions that I can see. Finally some new software came out but I still couldn't get it to work for me (although, I believe a lot of people did manage to make it work for them). #Logitech connect utility app drivers#For many months (over a year, I think) Logitech failed to release any new software or any specific drivers for using the F710 on Windows 10. Since then, I've been unable to pair the F710 controller with the dongle and my F710 has been totally useless and has just been collecting dust.įrom what I have been able to gather, many people had a similar problem when Windows 10 came along. I was happily using my F710 with Windows 8 and 8.1 but ever since I upgraded Windows 10 it stopped working. In fact, I've been having problems doing exactly that. I hadn't paired the USB dongle with the F710 controller in Windows before connecting the dongle to the Steam Link! I think you may be on to something there. These feature enhancements and bug fixes will help bring you a seamless experience so you can work at your highest level. Thanks roughnecks.
